Join us for a special event exploring ritual practices and spirituality in Guatemala through the work of Edgar Calel.

On Saturday, May 2, researcher Georgina Sánchez Celaya will present a short talk on the ritual dimension of Calel’s performative practice, as well as key aspects of Maya cosmovision, including ceremonies, processions, and traditions in Guatemala. The talk will be followed by a video screening of one of the artist’s performances.

To conclude, we will share ceremonial cacao from Guatemala.
